I am taking a Plane/Bus/Train
Cool Ninja. This is smart if you can't drive, don't want to risk trashing the car, or just don't feel like Driving. Fresh. But you still have to make a Budget out and stick to it.. know what I'm saying? So I am going to make an example budget sheet and I am going to give you a blank one so you can figure it out on your own too.
For my sheet we'll say that I am taking a Bus to Toledo and meeting up with 4 other people and sharing a hotel with them (which I may add really is the truth so this budget sheet I am giving you is exactly what mine looks like right now.) I am arriving at check in time on the 12th and checking out the Morning of the 16th.
JESSIKA'S BUDGET
Bus ticket- $99 round trip

Ticket to the Gathering-$100
Hotel: $89 a night. $89 times 4 =356. $50.26 taxes + $356 = $406.26. $406.26 / 5 = (about) $82 each.
Here is a good way to stick to this budget. collect the money UPON checking in and pay the bill before hand. This way if someone spends their share of the hotel money, you ain't fucked and in jail till someone wires you the money.
Food: $30 (straight up, I am bringing my own food. I might eat out on the last night and order a glass of water but my budget is tighter than Eminems As... nevermind. That would be the oppiosite. The only reason I have $30 down is because I plan on bringing some Faygo home. The rest of you ninjas should figure on spending about 15 dollars a day, or 60 for all four. Maybe more depending how you eat.)
Emergency Money: $20 dollars.
Listen ya'll emergency money is reall fucking important and I will tell you why. Last year someone brought me to the gathering nd was supposed to take me home too. Naw, I got left. However, I had $100 emergency money planned and someone else gave me some money and I got an emergency bus home. This is ANOTHER reason to ask for hotel money upfront. If I didn't do that I would have been fucked. Straight up.
