Son Of The Writer of "Saint Lucifer's" Interview
What made you want the Clowns and Twiztid to be in the film? Why not possibly Korn or Marilyn Manson?
Fuck Korn and Manson. I know I just pissed off a whole bunch of ninjas but that's ok. Me and John (head scriptwriter) are Juggalos, and all other bands can suck our nuts. We feel that there is no band more real or more entertaining than Psychopathic's line up. We want to give them their props and put them on the silver screen, throw the Dark Carnival in the world's backyard! Bands like Korn and Manson have had their props, and don't deserve half of them. We first talked about getting ICP in real early in the writing process. Me and John were going over some scenes. John's a Juggalo, a 39 year old Juggalo, and he wanted my opinion on how to make some Juggalo references in the movie. I was reading and I looked at him and said, "Have you thought about trying to get ICP themselves?" He looked at me with the people's eyebrow and instantly jumped on the phone. Our producer and director both said it was cool to go after them. Next I knew he was chatting with Alex Abbiss. Alex seemed not too interested. He told us to call him back in a few days so we did. Again, not too interested. We talked about just getting TWIZTID, since at that time ICP was really in demand with wrestling and shit. Talks seemed to have broken down at that point. Hopes were kinda low. But last week when ICP/TWIZTID were here in Knoxville, John decided to call and try and arrange a meeting with them. This time he got ahold of Rob, AKA Jump Steady. Rob was much more interested. He said J was too sick to really see anyone and they were gonna fly him out of Knoxville to Detroit to put him in the mental home for a while or some shit. He told us to fax him some of the script so we did. Days went by and no word given. We had given up at this point and then the phone call came. Rob called and said ICP and Twiztid loved the script and were mad hot on doing the movie. J loved the part so much that he offered to do it for free! Jamie and Paul of Twiztid were so hot on the idea that they asked if they could play with their part a little bit. We said we gotta approve everything through our producer and director, but go nuts! We're still waiting to see what they do to the script.
If ICP and Twiztid do appear, will they have a new song out on the soundtrack or will it be an old song?
Funny you should ask that. Just yesterday Rob called us and left a message to call him immediatly. We got all scared, like maybe they were gonna pull out or something. John called and Rob put our fears to rest. He said that Jamie and Paul are mad excited about this and wanted to know if it was all right to compose a song for the movie. When John was done nutting in his britches he told them that would be the shit. No word yet on what the song will be or if ICP will do it with them, but I'll let ya know when I get some info on it.
I heard Twiztid is shooting a video to a new song for the movie. Is this true?
New song is definitly being discussed and we briefly talked about the possibility of shooting a video. Rob seemed excited and said that Twiztid were hot on the idea. I haven't heard much on the video, but a new song is definitly being discussed.
What is the plot line to Saint Lucifers?
The storyline is under tight lock and key, but I'll let you in on a little of it. St. Lucifers takes place in a real abandoned mental asylumn. The land this asylumn was built on is inhabited by a demon called, "The Hungry One" who delights in the suffering of humans. He especially delights in giving them their fondest fantasies and then killing them by eating them (hence the name). Beyond that, there is not much I can devulge. For more info, head to http://www.saintlucifers.com.
How do ICP and Twiztid come into play in this movie?
TWIZTID will play a band from hell, of sorts. The Hungry One takes on many forms and in TWIZTID's scene they will be one of the forms. Same with ICP, but it will be different scene's throughout the movie and they won't play a band but something else. That's under lock and key too, I believe.
How did you hook up wit ICP and Twiztid?
As of now we've been talking through Jump Steady. As it looks now we won't actually hook up until shooting, which I believe their scenes will be shot sometime around the end of April.
Where did u come up with the idea to Saint Lucifers?
It was all John. We pass by the asylumn all the time and just by looking at it you can tell there's something wrong there. It inspired his imagination when he found out it was shut down for patient abuse and everyone and their mom thinks it's haunted by old mental patients. He instantly began writing a script and hooked up with Otherworld Pictures. The story grew and grew, shit he spends nine hours a day writing on that shit! No joke! I didn't have much to do with the concepts of the movie except where ICP is concerned I contributed a little. I helped some with the diaglogue, tried to make it more Juggalo friendly..
Is there any date set for the release of Saint Lucifers?
Too early for that yet, I'm sorry to say. Shooting is slated to begin in March. John may give you an answer, but I would be hard pressed to.
Will the movie be shown all over the country????
It will be, but it really depends on the distributor how many theatres it will be in. Right now, we're still working on that. Make no bones about it though, with ICP and TWIZTID in the line up, interest is being drummed up everywhere. Hits on our webpage and emails are coming faster than me fucking Sporty Spice! Finding a distributor shouldn't be a problem. There's been talk of working with the people that did Blair Witch, but nothing is concrete at this point.
How many screens do you hope to get this movie on across america?
Again, too early to tell. John may give you a number, but I can't.
How long have you been down with da clown?
John will tell you he's been down since day one, but he hasn't. It was actually like day 4. I've been down since '96 I believe, somewhere around that. I was in a cd store and I saw this purple and green cd which was labeled Insane Clown Posse. I shit my pants, because (and I swear on my soul this happened) when I was about 13 I was riding the bus to school. Suddenly everything around me went silent. Like all the kids were yelling and throwing shit, but I could hear nothing. I was freaking out. Then there was a whisper in my ear. It said, "Insane Clown Posse". I know it sounds like bullshit, but I swear it happened. Everything returned to normal after that, and I pissed my pants. The name stuck with me, but I never knew what Insane Clown Posse was until that day in the cd store. ICP wasn't even on a nationwide basis back then really. Jive records were living up to their name by jiving ICP. I snatched up the cd and the chick at the counter said that someone had ordered it and never picked it up. So I bought it, and I've been down ever since. All other cd's I once owned are now coasters for my Faygo! As for John, I left a tape of Great Milenko in his car once, and he listened to it and fell prey to the spell of the Dark Carnival. He called me and said, "Who the hell is that on that tape? They fucking rule!" That was around 98.He's been down ever since and has a shitload of cds and bootlegs I gave him.
Do you plan on puttin on Violent J face paint while making the movie?
Me and John made it clear that ICP/TWIZTID won't do this movie if they aren't allowed to do the whole paint deal. Everyone at Otherworld Pictures said it was cool. As for me and John wearing face paint in the movie, we will be in the movie in face paint in a scene were Juggalos are required. Can't go into it I'm afraid.
So how is ICP & Twizted's precence in this movie effect he outcome??
Tentatively, one character will be killed by them, and the final showdownwill involve them. Can't go into it, I said too much already!
Will the clownz & twizted serial killas kill anyone if so who?
Yeah, one character will be, but it's hush hush and I can't say who. I probably shouldn't have said that much. It will be a very...interesting death to say the least, though.
Do stripes make you look fat?
Nothing makes me look fat, I'm a fucking skeleton. You can stuff me full of doughnuts all day long and I won't gain a pound. John on the other hand looks like a bloated Steve Blackman! He's even a martial arts master and everything! If you gave him a doughnut hole he would probably blimp up.
Is this movie goin straight to video?
Definitly NO. It was never meant to go straight to video. This movie will be shown in theatres to Juggalos. The only question is how many.Eventually it will go to video.
We at WC2K thank you for this opertunity it is an honor & all juggalos will get this movie, well tru juggalos will anyways..From the WC2K staff & all ninjas peace out!!
It was my pleasure and we'll do it again when we get more info, WC2000 is one of my favorite pages. I also would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the Juggalos that have gone to the website (http://www.saintlucifers.com) and stated their support for ICP and TWIZTID to be in this movie. That has really helped out! Otherworld Pictures loves you, John loves you and I love you and with your help St. Lucifer's will set a bomb off in the world's ass crack that the world will not soon forget!
